Job Description and Profile: 

Sloomoo Institute is searching for art-oriented individuals who are inherently adept “makers” with the ability to mold and sculpt soft clay into small works that resemble the brand’s designs for anything from emojis to animals to mythical creatures to desserts to other food items and more.

You will be working in a slime-making “kitchen,” which is the brand’s facility for all compounds for the experience, retail and e-commerce products. 

This is an in-person role in a creative environment. Must be a good communicator and able to work with speed while having high standards for precision and aesthetics. This is a part-time position.

Content Creator

Sloomoo Institute, an interactive brand based on sensory play, slime and ASMR. Launched in the fall of 2019, Sloomoo Institute began as an experience in NYC and has evolved into retail (online and off), media (early phases), events. There are plans to open three additional locations in 2022 and expansion across all lines of business. We are mission-driven with a focus on mental health (we have relationships with mental health non-profits) and inclusion. We support neurodiversity and have a program to employ neurodiverse adults.

Job Description

The Digital Content Creator role develops a consumer-first storytelling strategy (across all social media channels and owned properties, including the website, in-store screens and other relevant media) that elevates the brand, leads to equity and consumer loyalty for the company. Also, this role will lead all aspects of digital photo and video shoots for the company. 

The Digital Content Creator plays a critical role in the management of communications and platforms that support the Company’s enterprise brand with a pulse on current technology, digital/social media best practices and has an eye for the aesthetics of rich, dynamic content.

This team member needs to have a multidisciplinary approach for organizing creative assets that translate the brand’s DNA, vision, strategy and storytelling into culturally relevant, “pause worthy” campaigns, content, and paid media ads. This role requires the ability to determine content needs, channel selection, and distribution.

Responsibilities

● Ensure Sloomoo content mix includes up to 2 Instagram posts, Stories content, 1-3 TikTok videos per day, plus additional assets for future channel expansion such as Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and other channels not currently in our mix

● Actively manage multiple digital campaigns at a time, from creative concept, to content creation, to production and follow up reporting

● Manage and maintain all digital creative assets in Asana and proactively manage all tasks for your creative output

● Maintain all copy and graphic edits from multiple parties within the organization and deliver timely edits before live dates

● Provide monthly schedule of creation plus weekly delivery follow up 

● Work closely across organization marketing and creative leadership as well as agency teams to develop effective integrated communication plans

● Translate creative ideas into locally and culturally relevant content and campaigns leveraging brand equity and regional insights

● Work closely with the Ecommerce and paid media team to analyze which digital assets needs to be changed, scaled and eliminated from marketing plans

● Identify and quickly adapt communications to solve challenges/issues that may arise throughout the course of business (ex: targeting vaccinated guests, appeal to adults) 

● Generate new ideas, implement creative editing and fresh styles

● Produce larger scale shoots – monthly or bi-monthly – including managing operations, lighting, renting equipment, hiring models, and creating run-of-show.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in arts & science, design, marketing or related field

● 2+ years of experience in photo editing, filming, content creation, or graphic design

● Pre production planning, shoot and post production 

● Still photography 

● Short form video content 

● Time lapse, stop motion, etc

● Proficient in Adobe Creative Applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, Lightroom) 

● Proficient in Microsoft Applications, Sharepoint CMS, Asana, Slack and Keynote

● Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver programs and tactics in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

● Self-starter, driven and incredibly detail-oriented; “all-hands-on-deck” team member 

● Experience in producing photo shoots

● Excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal communication and time management skills

● Social/Digital expert with a deep understanding of the latest platforms, tools, and best practices within each social platform

● Demonstrate ability to drive innovative, engaging content that meets business needs

Job Description

Support Head of Marketing as the lead of the original content creation team.  This role includes the management of junior content creator staff and partnership with outside resources such as freelance photo/video teams to deliver Sloomoo’s omni-channel content.

People and Culture Director

Job Description: 

The People and Culture Director oversees HR support for Sloomoo Institute’s integrated departments, including but not limited to the experiences, retail spaces, production (the brand is creating its own slime), and corporate teams. HR management includes responsibilities of Talent Acquisition and Development, Growth Planning, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits as well as Organizational Effectiveness. 

This position works closely with corporate leadership to optimize workplace performance in support of business goals through strategic HR planning, change management, organizational design and talent management. This role partners with business leaders on all talent and hiring matters and will coach leadership on performance management when/if needed. This person will help manage centralized initiatives as well as lead all human resources processes, such as activities related to employee reviews, headcount and budget management, as well as other HR initiatives specific to the business needs. 

Profile 

● Strong background with experience in multi-unit retail, new store openings and a keen understanding of complex corporate teams and business growth across the country. 

● Leadership experience in managing and leading a team is required (while there is no team at this time, this role will build one over time). 

● Proven experience in the ability to lead through others and to influence core business partners to drive strategic initiatives is key. 

● The candidate must be both strategic and tactical - this is a hands-on position which requires interaction and visibility with all levels of the organization in order to provide a strong foundation and organizational planning and structure. 

● The candidate possesses considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration, excellent problem solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior conflict management skills, approachability, dealing with ambiguity, command and influencing abilities, motivating others, drive for results and building effective teams.

Job Description

Sloomoo Institute is looking for an experienced Influencer Manager to join their expanding team. The Influencer Manager is responsible for developing, evolving, and executing influencer marketing strategy.

This team member will manage a multi-pronged relationship on a day-to-day basis, from identifying talent and campaign briefing to execution and measurement. The candidate will work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure strategy and message are aligned with brand guidelines and business goals, and that assets are engaging and drive MOM performance.

The environment is fast-paced, creative and it requires the candidate to be nimble, able to manage multiple details and projects at once as well as pivot when needed to capitalize on trends and opportunities as they arise.

Demonstrated expertise required across leading platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

● Collaborate with integrated marketing and communications teams on on all aspects of influencer programming.

● Nurture influencer relationships and regularly identify and develop new relationships within relevant communities (creators, platforms, agencies)

● Track and manage usage rights for UGC across earned, owned and paid environments, and manage any necessary invoicing and payments when applicable with Finance

● Manage execution of ad hoc influencer gifting/product seeding and experience visits
Concept programs that speak to the lifestyle of the brand across multiple categories including but not limited to families, teens, Gen-Z, culinary, art, performance, music, culture and philanthropy

● Represent the Social Media Team in relevant meetings and projects as needed

● Create slides, and provide analyses and competitive insights for management meetings to showcase strategy, performance, trends, etc.

● Manage and track agency invoices, payments, p, SOWs, etc, as well as maintain internal budget trackers.

Requirements


● 4-6 years of influencer marketing and/or related marketing experience and demonstrated success in executing both small and large influencer programs from start to finish.

● Experience successfully managing projects and agency partners Natural storyteller who understands brand DNA, voice and aesthetics.

● Fluency with analytics ; adept at translating data into actionable insights.

● Early adopter of new and emerging social media platforms (must be able to speak to and demonstrate an acumen for the platforms and the people that use them).

● Extensive knowledge of major social media platforms and technologies, how to tailor content by platform, what kind of content works best to build new audiences, retain existing ones, and meet specific marketing goals.

● Innovative thinker, detail oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
