We talked about what makes scents so important and how she became our Chief Slimeologist.
Why scents? How did you come up with this idea and name?
When I first saw slime on Instagram in the summer of 2016, I was immediately transfixed. I checked out Etsy to see if anyone was selling it and a few were but not scented, not in cute jars and I saw an opportunity to get in the game. I chose the name because I wanted everyone to know my slime was SCENTED!
How have you had to change and adapt your business to new slime trends being one of the OGs?
I make changes to my business almost daily. As soon as a fellow slimer comes up with an innovative idea, you are reminded that you must evolve and keep up with the times. New ideas are introduced constantly so it’s a challenge to stay on top of things.
What do other adults/your friends think about slime?
Other adults are somewhat taken aback or amused and confused. Once I explain it they are intrigued, fascinated and want to try some out.
What’s your favorite scented slime you have made in your career?
The one slime that stands out as my favorite was Lemon Poppy Scone. It was a pale beige/yellow slay slime (a slime that has some clay in it) and it was scented with a custom blend of three different scents. It was thick, creamy, and delicious to sniff!

What’s your role at Sloomoo and how did you get introduced? What’s the day-in-the-life of a Chief Slimeologist?
Karen and Sara approached me at a local slime convention in Fort Lee, New Jersey in January. They said they were working on something and would like to get together with me to discuss. Once they told me what it was all about, I was instantly obsessed with their ideas and vision. I feel truly lucky to be included in such an amazing venture.
A day in the life of a Chief Slimeologist is making large batches of slime, coming up with new ideas and new recipes, overseeing a staff that is responsible for all slime output insuring the best quality there can be.

How’d you get into slime?
I was on the explore page on Instagram and saw a video of someone playing with slime, I was instantly intrigued to see if I could make it myself because I knew there was ASMR connection to slime and I have always been a big fan of ASMR videos and sounds.
What are you known for?
I think I am known for my scents. I have ordered from more than 10 scent companies and don’t stop until I find the PERFECT birthday cake, the PERFECT peach. I look for accuracy, strength and my customers really seem to love my scents.
What do you bring to the slime community that’s different?
I am one of the oldest slimers in the slime community, but that is changing! Slime is becoming more mainstream and many different people are falling in love with it, and it doesn’t discriminate… ANYONE can play with it and enjoy it immensely.
When did you open your shop?
November 2016.
What’s one thing the slime community would not know about you?
I’ve been an open book with my followers and slime friends so I think I have no secrets! One amazing thing about the slime community is how everyone helps each other and lifts each other up. I have shared some very sad moments of loss with my followers and their kindness and encouragement was integral to my healing.
What are your future plans and goals? I would like to continue making slime for as long as I can because I enjoy it so much.
I know Sloomoo will be a huge success and I would love to be a part of it for its entire lifespan.
