August: Hot Fudge Sundae Cloud Dough Slime
Please Gather:
- 2 Mixing Bowls
- Spoon Or Spatula
- Teaspoon Measuring Spoon
- Activator bottles
Step 1: Gather a mixing bowl, spoon or spatula, and a teaspoon measuring spoon.
Step 2: Empty the entire bottle of Elmer’s school glue into the bowl.
Step 3: (Optional) Add 2-3 drops of the hot fudge sundae scent. If you like a strong scent, add a bit more.
Step 4: Stir together. Give it a good 30+ seconds of mixing before moving on to the next step.
Step 5: Add 1 teaspoon of the dry SnoWonder into the glue mixture. Mix very thoroughly, for about 1-2 minutes, to ensure the snow is fully mixed and absorbed into the glue.
Step 6: Add 4 teaspoons of lotion.
Step 7: Stir together. Give it a good 30+ (at least) seconds of mixing before moving on to the next step.
Step 8: Add 1 teaspoon of activator.
Step 9: Mix THOROUGHLY! It may take up to a minute to do this properly. It is super important to add the activator in this way, little by little, to achieve the best results.
Step 10: Add 1 more teaspoon of activator.
Step 11: Mix THOROUGHLY! AGAIN! It may take up to a minute to do this properly.
Step 12: Use 1 finger to test the slime and see if it is sticky.
Step 13: If it sticks to you, add another 1/2 teaspoon of activator and mix again! At this point, the slime may look stringy and/or clumpy. That's okay! Trust the process and keep stirring as vigorously as possible. It may feel like it takes a while to fully incorporate. Just stick with it!
Step 14: Repeat steps 12-13 until the slime is no longer sticky. Do not add too much activator, otherwise your slime will become hard. You want the slime to be soft and stretchy, but not sticky.
Step 15: Add the rest of the SnoWonder packet into your second mixing bowl.
Step 16: Add 3/4 cup of water into the bowl. Watch as the snow magically grows and expands!
Step 17: Add 1/2 of the inflated wet snow from the bowl into your slime, and mix with your hands until it is fully incorporated into your slime.
Step 18: Mix THOROUGHLY! It may take up to a minute or two to do this properly. The snow needs to be fully mixed into the slime to ensure it has the right cloudy texture.
Step 19: Now you have cloud slime! Pull and stretch the slime. It should be light, fluffy, and drizzly.
Step 20: If the slime is not as light, fluffy, and drizzly as you’d like, add 1 TSP of the wet snow and mix thoroughly into your slime. Repeat this process until it reaches your desired texture.
Step 21: Now it’s time to turn it into cloud dough slime! Take about half of the white clay, and mix it into your cloud slime by pulling and stretching them together until fully blended.
Step 22: Now you have cloud slime! Pull and stretch the slime. It should be light and fluffy, with a doughy and dense feeling from the clay.
Step 23: Don’t forget to name your slime! Write your slime’s name on the blank label on the side of your slime jar.
Step 24: Store your slime in the provided 8 oz jar. Always keep your slime in an airtight container when you’re not playing with it so it can last as long as possible.
Step 25: Store any extra snow in an airtight container or bag. Save it and use it for your next slimey creation!
Step 26: Decorate to your heart’s content with the provided sprinkles and charms! Drizzle the “chocolate” slime over top of your cloud dough slime to create your very own hot fudge sundae slime!
Enjoy!
xoxo
